As one of the most recent maps added to State of Decay 2, Providence Ridge features some of the best-designed bases in the game. Home Sites in Providence Ridge

When it comes to home sites in Providence Ridge, you only have five options. They’re five fantastic options but one of the smallest selections in the game.

  • Firewatch Fortress
  • Rusty Rosie’s
  • Lundegaard Lumber Mill
  • Prescott Fire Station
  • Westen Builder Supply

Everyone begins their adventure on Providence Ridge at the Firewatch Fortress, and if you’re at all like me, your next stop is Rusty Rosie’s. But from there, you have a few options for a late-game base.

How to Select The Best Providence Ridge Bases

In State of Decay 2, your choice of a home base matters. It’s not enough to focus on aesthetics, though that surely helps.

When it comes time to choose one of the many excellent Providence Ridge bases in State of Decay 2, focus on your community first and foremost. What are your needs? Do you have too many people and not enough beds? Then, you’ll want a base location with room for rapid expansion and the construction of sleeping quarters.

Do you want a more central location to better access the Bounty Broker and all his wares?

For end game, there’s only one base recommendation I can offer, though!

What is the Best Base in Providence Ridge?

Located deep in the southeast of the map lies the largest and, arguably, the best base in Providence Ridge: Lundegaard Lumber Mill.

This spacious end-game base features all you need for a Forever Community. You have plenty of buildable slots for ultimate customization, a simple layout and design, and a nice location for base defense.

Furthermore, while you’re no longer worrying about your base, you can focus on tracking down the rare weapon cases on Providence Ridge.

Built-In Facilities

  • Command Center
  • Lumber Pile (Clearable)
  • Sawmill
  • Storage
  • 4x Parking

Open Slots

  • 3x Small Indoor Slots
  • 4x Large Outdoor Slots

Requirements

As a late-game base, the requirements for Lundegaard Lumber Mill prove hefty.

  • 8 Survivors
  • 3500 Influence (1750 on Green Zone)

All-in-all, Lundegaard’s array of small and large slots allow players to construct nearly anything their heart desires. I recommend focusing on your leader’s constructible plot, like a Trade Depot, and my personal favorite, the Auto Shop, to keep your vehicles in tip-top shape and fully upgraded.
