For those who would rather skip nights in State of Decay 2 instead of playing through the moonlit hours, I feel your pain. Sometimes, on rare occasions, I don’t feel like dealing with the darkness. So, can you pass time in State of Decay 2? Let’s find out!

Can You Pass Time in State of Decay 2?

Unfortunately, you cannot pass the time in State of Decay 2 using a skip time mechanic. As such, you must survive through the night the same as during the daytime. But there’s good news: your community offers plenty of practical tasks to tackle inside its walls.

At night, you can stay indoors and wait out the darkness. But if you’re feeling brave, why not venture out and clear out the zombies in the neighborhood? It’s not like zombies can see your flashlight in the dark! But if you’re feeling courageous, then venture on down the road and tackle that Plague Heart!

How to Make the Most of Your Time in State of Decay 2

If you don’t want to venture out at night, and hey, I don’t blame you, there’s a bevy of useful time-killing tasks you can accomplish in and around your base. For instance:

  • Craft health kits, ammunition, and explosives.
  • Clear the surrounding area of zombies.
  • Break down unwanted items.
  • Repair weapons.

These are just a handful of tasks that ensure you won’t waste time, as you can’t skip nights in State of Decay 2. Alternatively, invest in a second monitor and throw on some YouTube or Hulu.
