For those who want to relive their childhood dreams of becoming a space cowboy, no other faction questline in Starfield compares to the Freestar Rangers. You become the long arm of the law, with a six-shooter on your hip and a spaceship to fly you directly to the criminals who require justice. And as a reward, you’ll end up unlocking the powerful and aesthetically pleasing Ranger Spacesuit in Starfield. Here’s how to get one for yourself!
How to Get the Ranger Spacesuit in Starfield
To unlock the Ranger Spacesuit in Starfield, you must complete the final quest in the Freestar Rangers line, The Hammer Falls, which concludes the story of the stolen HopeTech ship and the mercenaries taking farmland by force. Without ruining the storyline with spoilers, you must make a choice at the end that culminates in many credits but a distinct lack of justice overall. Or, you can do your job as a Freestar Ranger and, in the end, you’ll earn the full Ranger Spacesuit, complete with Helmet and Boost Pack, and the Star Eagle Starship.
Overall, the entire Freestar Ranger questline will take approximately five to six hours to complete, depending on your playstyle. You can finish it in a single night, even a single session, if you put your mind to the task.

Ranger Armor Set Stats
The complete Ranger Spacesuit set is more powerful than most other armor sets in the game. By this point, you may still rock the Constellation Spacesuit, Helm, and Boost Pack. I certainly was, but I quickly dropped those in favor of the Ranger Spacesuit. Just take a look at its stats!

While certainly a tad bit heavier overall, the Ranger Spacesuit, Helmet, and Power Pack prove exceptional regarding the various resistances. There isn’t a criminal in the Freestar Collective capable of putting a round through your armor and getting away with their crime!
