How to Get Legendary Modules in Fallout 76

Fallout 76: How to Get Legendary Modules

Once you complete the main story in Fallout 76, you’ll find yourself grinding out public events and launching nukes to topple the Scorchbeast Queen. Why? Because you want to loot the very best legendary modules in Fallout 76, of course!

First, how do you get legendary modules?!

Acquiring Legendary Modules in Fallout 76

First and foremost, know that you can purchase Legendary Modules via Purveyor Murmrgh for 50 Scrip apiece at The Rusty Pick in the Ash Heap. As soon as you walk through the door to the bar, the purveyor will be to your left.

But how do you earn scrip? To buy legendary modules, you need scrip, which you can acquire by completing Daily Quests, Daily Ops, achieving specific ranks via the Season Scoreboard, and trading in legendary items at local Legendary Exchange machines at any train station in the game.

What Are Legendary Modules For?

A big part of the end game in Fallout 76 is crafting and acquiring legendary items. For that, you need legendary modules.

Once you acquire legendary modules from one of the above-mentioned methods, you can then bring your modules to an Armor or Weapons Workbench to convert standard items into legendary items, re-roll existing legendary items’ attributes, or upgrade legendary star ratings.

Yes, this does apply to power armor, too.

Strength Matters

When you’re trying to clear, say, West Tek of its super mutant menace, chances are you want strength on your side.

In the late game, that strength stems from your legendary abilities. If you’re okay with the grind, achieving the best build imaginable starts with legendary modules.

Recommended Legendary Prefixes

A few recommended legendary prefixes in Fallout 76 include:

  • Furious — If you focus on a melee build, Furious proves more than effective. Your damage output increases exponentially with every consecutive hit on your target. It’s best for single opponents, though.
  • Executioners — The Executioners’ prefix ensures that your damage increases as your enemy’s health fall below 40%. It’s a good legendary prefix to acquire for any type of build.
  • Vampire — If your goal is to remain alive, Vampire provides steady health regeneration for each hit you successfully land on your opponent.
  • Bloodied — The lower your health, the more damage you do. A Bloodied build is one of the most common end game builds in Fallout 76, which is why you’ll see so many players with a lot of radiation and low health levels.
