The downside? Most vendors in Fallout 76 do not have enough caps to pay you for your eggs. You’ll need to visit multiple vendors, or, alternatively, swap servers a few times, to really rake in the caps.
What Can I Buy With Caps in Fallout 76?

While much of the game revolves around crafting supplies to keep you viable, Bethesda did lovingly create a functional economy through NPC vendors scattered about the game world. On top of NPCs, you can use caps to buy gear, weapons, aid items, and crafting plans from player-owned bases.
