Stardew Valley Expanded

Stardew Valley: The Best Mods You Should Download Today

Are you growing sick and tired of the same old day-to-day chores in Stardew Valley? No?! Me neither, honestly. But hey, it’s always fun to track down some of the coolest, most expansive Stardew Valley mods on Nexus Mods and try something new, right?

I’ve curated some of what I consider to be the best Stardew Valley mods. I’ve included some mods aimed at improving functionality, expanding the game, and even a cheat or two for those of you who’ve played a thousand hours of the farming sim already.

Before we dive in further, do you know how to mod Stardew Valley?

Stardew Valley Expanded

Stardew Valley Expanded

In what is perhaps the most expansive, comprehensive expansion for Stardew Valley, Stardew Valley Expanded brings a lot to the table.

You’ll find a grand total of 26 new NPCs, 33 unique locations, 230 handcrafted character events, 18 brand-new fish to catch, fully reiminaged vanilla locations, two new farm maps, new music, quests, festivals, and so much more.

Seriously, the list of included features goes on for quite some time!

With so many new additions to the game, you would expect a lot of non-canon content, but that’s not the case. The team working on Stardew Valley Expanded stayed true to ConcernedApe’s original vision, and it shows. Their wealth of knowledge of the valley, along with the farming sim as a whole, is beautiful and well done.

Tractor Mod

Did you ever feel as if Stardew Valley, a modern farming sim, was sorely missing modern farming equipment? After all, you’re building a farming empire.

With the Tractor Mod, no longer must you physically walk the entire length of your farm to clear twigs and rocks, or to work on your crops.

You can ride in country style!

The Tractor Mod includes a fully function tractor to ride, a tractor garage to build, and magical abilities to summon your tractor to your location.

Automate

Do you find yourself growing weary of manual labor? Much of Stardew Valley revolves around tiring work watering crops, feeding animals, and breaking rocks. It’s back-breaking, challenging labor.

But with the Automate mod, no longer must we kill ourselves for the valley.

With Automate, you can connect key machinery, such as a furnace, to a chest to fully automate the entire ore smelting process.

How does it work?

You’ll need raw materials in the chest, first and foremost. The furnace, once connected by proximity, will pull raw materials in, smelting away your ore, and then deposit the finished bars into the same chest for easy pick-up.

CJB Cheat Menu

When it comes to Stardew Valley mods, you’ll note quite a few “cheat” mods available. The best and brightest of the bunch is the CJB Cheat Menu.

It allows the player access to an in-game cheat menu with warp locations, time controls, weather settings, farming and fishing enhancements, and even player and tool settings to mess about with.

Of course, cheats aren’t for everyone. If you’ve played through Stardew Valley and grow tired of the same old routine, or want to create content for YouTube, then the CJB Cheat Menu proves worthwhile.
