How to Find a Fanatic Protectron in Fallout 76
You can find a Fanatic Protectron, both variants, in The Pitt in Fallout 76. In fact, the expedition is the only way to locate this variant of Protectron, as the Fanatics are a Pitt-exclusive faction.
There are two types of Fanatic Protectrons in The Pitt:
- Fanatic Protectron
- A former steelworker Protectron reprogrammed by the local faction, Fanatics, and equipped with loader claws, black paint, and Robobrain treads.
- Fanatic Protectron Suicider
- A reprogrammed Protectron customized with Robobrain treads, painted in black, and its armor removed to ensure the unit explodes unhindered in combat.
Both variations will wander The Pitt, with most spawning around or inside of Fanatic bases.
How to Beat Fanatic Protectrons
Like the countless other variations of Protectrons in Appalachia, the Fanatic Protectrons in The Pitt prove relatively simple to defeat. You will want to keep your distance, attack using a ranged weapon, and hit them hard and fast. If a Protectron is able to close the distance with its target, it deals extraordinary melee damage.
And that’s not to mention the explosive damage caused by the Suicider going up in flames. You do not want to be too close when that thing bursts!
