How to Unlock Mounts in Diablo 4

To obtain your first mount in Diablo 4, you’ll first need to complete Mount: Donan’s Favor. It’s a quest activated at the beginning of Act IV: A Gathering Storm.

And no, you can’t skip all of the other story missions to complete this one. It’s locked until you progress far enough in the storyline.

By the time you hit Act IV, you’re halfway through the game and have spent all this time wandering the world on foot. It’s kind of a slap in the face, honestly. We should receive mounts far earlier in the experience.

But hey, if you prioritize the story missions and ignore all of the side content, you can obtain your mount in tens of hours instead of one hundred hours, so there’s always that.

Buying a Mount

Once you’ve completed Mount: Donan’s Favor, travel back to Kyovashad and speak with Oskar, the stable master, to discover a small selection of available mounts.

If you bought the Deluxe Edition, you’ll also find the Temptation Mount. There are also a few mounts available in the in-game store. Those will also appear in the available options.
