I had the pleasure of playing it early, and I couldn’t put it down during my time. I swept through the main story in approximately twelve hours. So, with that in mind, how much is Phantom Liberty? As of this writing, you can purchase Phantom Liberty on Steam for $29.99 separately from the main game or as part of a bundle with an 8% discount for $82.78. The expansion is also available on GOG for $29.99 if you prefer to buy your games over there.
So, for the asking price, is Phantom Liberty worth your hard-earned cash? In my honest opinion, absolutely! It’s an exceptional expansion that improves upon the core experience in Night City tenfold, with countless new side quests, a main storyline, interesting characters, a few decisions that affect the outcome, and plenty of new gadgets to mess about with. That’s not to mention the slew of additional content that came utterly free as part of the massive 2.0 update for Cyberpunk 2077!

When you fork over the cash for the expansion, which, again, I do recommend, you will receive:
- A brand-new storyline involving a spy-thriller narrative in which V will rescue the NUSA President and work alongside one of the most infamous agents in history.
- Dogtown—a vibrant and rich neighborhood that is full of secrets and side quests to tackle, along with countless new dangers to combat.
- The revamped skill tree system, with new tech, cyberware, and more to explore and craft a build of your liking.
- There are a ton of new weapons, vehicles, and hacks to enjoy.
- A new ending in the main game that’s affected by the outcome of Phantom Liberty.
